enhanced by technology.
What is lymphatic drainage?
Precision. Expertise. Results.
Manual lymphatic drainage is a structured, light-touch, precision-based therapy designed to support lymphatic flow, fluid balance, and recovery.
Unlike traditional massage, it follows precise sequencing to work with the body’s lymphatic pathways.
- Swelling and fluid retention
- Post-surgical recovery (when medically cleared)
- Inflammation and circulation support
- General wellness and relaxation

Why Our Lymphatic Work Is Different
Many places offer “lymphatic-style” massage. Very few offer true clinical manual lymphatic drainage.
Here’s what sets Detoxity apart:
- Advanced lymphatic training (Vodder & Chikly–based)
- Manual-first approach
- State-of-the-art technology used to support — not replace — hands-on care
- For those who want a quicker healing and recovery, not endless sessions
- Coordination with physician guidance when applicable
Session length alone does not determine the quality or depth of lymphatic care. Our lymphatic sessions are structured differently. Advanced, internationally used technologies allow for a level of depth and efficiency that cannot be replicated by basic manual techniques alone.
advanced recovery technology
Hivamat® Deep Oscillation Therapy
Hivamat® is an FDA-cleared deep oscillation technology used internationally in rehabilitation, recovery, and lymphatic support settings.
Endorsed by the Vodder Institute, Hivamat® is used in conjunction with manual lymphatic drainage to enhance the depth and effectiveness, not to replace hands-on technique. The therapy is delivered through the practitioners hands and allows practitioner to work more efficiently.
This is a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage.

Electrons+® Advanced PEMF Therapy Support
Electrons+® is a practitioner guided pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology integrated into hands-on therapeutic care.
Unlike passive PEMF systems, this technology is applied intentionally by trained providers. Many clients perceive this as a gentle to noticeable pulsing or electrical sensation during treatment that take lymphatic drainage to the next level.
At Detoxity, Electrons+® is used routinely alongside manual techniques to enhance the depth, efficiency, and precision of care.
PEMF devices in general are FDA- cleared for certain orthopedic and post-operative indications.
Detoxity Holistic MediSpa is a listed provider of Electrons+ technology.

Lymphatic drainage
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What is lymphatic drainage?
Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle, precision-based therapy designed to support the movement of lymph fluid through the body’s natural pathways. It uses light pressure, slow rhythm, and specific sequencing rather than force or deep tissue techniques.
How is lymphatic drainage different from regular massage?
Lymphatic drainage focuses on the lymphatic system rather than muscles. The pressure is much lighter, movements are slower and more intentional, and the goal is fluid support and recovery—not muscle release or deep tissue manipulation.
Who can benefit from lymphatic drainage?
Lymphatic drainage may be appropriate for a wide range of individuals, depending on goals and health history. It is commonly incorporated for those seeking support with:
Swelling or fluid retention
Tissue congestion or feelings of heaviness
Post-surgical recovery (when medically cleared)
Pre-surgical preparation
Scar tissue mobility during healing
Recovery from physical stress or injury
Ongoing wellness and maintenance support
Each session is customized based on individual needs and physician guidance when applicable.
Is lymphatic drainage only for post-surgical recovery or preparing for surgery?
No. While lymphatic drainage is commonly incorporated into post-surgical recovery and pre-surgical preparation, it is not limited to surgical care. Many clients receive lymphatic drainage for non-surgical wellness, recovery support, circulation concerns, and maintenance care.
Is lymphatic drainage recommended to prepare for surgery?
Yes. In many cases, one or two lymphatic drainage sessions prior to surgery are recommended to help prepare the body for the upcoming procedure. Pre-surgical lymphatic care may support circulation, fluid movement, and overall tissue readiness. All pre-operative care is coordinated with surgeon recommendations.
How soon after surgery can I start lymphatic drainage?
In many cases, lymphatic drainage can begin the same day or the day after surgery, depending on the procedure and your surgeon’s instructions. We always follow physician guidance and adjust care based on your individual recovery timeline.
What are the benefits of lymphatic drainage after surgery?
When medically cleared, post-surgical lymphatic care may be incorporated to support:
Fluid movement and swelling management
Reduction of congestion that can contribute to seromas
Support for tissue mobility, including areas prone to fibrosis
Overall comfort and ease during recovery
Care is always individualized and guided by physician recommendations.
How can lymphatic drainage and Electrons+® support scar healing during recovery?
Lymphatic drainage may support scar tissue mobility and tissue quality by assisting fluid movement and reducing congestion around healing tissue.
When incorporated appropriately, Electrons+® PEMF support may further enhance tissue response and circulation. While individual outcomes vary, supporting tissue mobility and circulation during healing may contribute to scars appearing softer and less restrictive over time, as recovery progresses.
What should I expect during a lymphatic drainage session?
Sessions are gentle and focused on comfort and precision. Pressure is light, movements are slow and intentional, and care is adapted based on your recovery stage. Advanced supportive technologies may be incorporated when clinically appropriate. Many clients find the experience calming and restorative.
What should I expect after a lymphatic drainage session?
Experiences vary. Some clients report a feeling of lightness, reduced tightness, or improved comfort shortly after treatment, while others notice gradual changes over multiple sessions. Hydration and rest are often encouraged to support the body’s response.
How many lymphatic drainage sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on individual goals, recovery stage, and physician guidance. If post-surgical, it is not uncommon to come everyday or every other day for the first three weeks. Each person is different and will be assessed for a recommendation.
Are compression garments necessary after surgery?
Compression garments are commonly recommended during post-surgical recovery to support fluid management, comfort, and tissue healing. We encourage clients to follow their surgeon’s guidance regarding compression use.
For convenience, compression garments are also available in-house, and our team can assist with sizing and selection when appropriate.
How can I maintain my results after surgery?
Maintaining results after surgery is an important part of recovery and long-term outcomes. This typically includes:
Wearing compression garments as directed by your surgeon
Completing an appropriate course of post-surgical lymphatic drainage
Allowing sufficient time for healing before introducing additional modalities
Once adequate healing has occurred — and with physician approval — some clients choose to incorporate additional supportive treatments such as cavitation, radio frequency, wood therapy, or other body sculpting techniques as part of a longer-term maintenance plan.
Because surgery is a significant investment, our goal is to help clients support recovery responsibly and preserve results over time.
Do you offer packages for lymphatic and post-surgical care?
Yes. We offer lymphatic drainage packages as well as post-surgical recovery pathways for clients seeking structured support. Our post-surgical recovery pathways may combine lymphatic drainage with additional supportive modalities, such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy and red light therapy, when clinically appropriate.
Still not sure where to start?
Recovery and wellness needs vary by individual. Our team is happy to help guide you toward the most appropriate lymphatic or post-surgical care pathway based on your goals, recovery stage, and physician recommendations.
