Before your session

Hydration is essential. As a general daily guideline, divide your body weight in half — that's roughly how many ounces of water you should be drinking each day. Come to your session well hydrated.

Eat lightly beforehand rather than arriving on a full stomach.

Wear or bring comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

After your session

Keep drinking water throughout the rest of the day.

Most clients feel clear-headed and focused afterward. A few feel briefly nauseous — if that's you, adding an IV Hydration Recovery Infusion helps, and our in-house RN is available.

Before your session

Avoid shaving or waxing the day of your float — the salt solution can sting fresh skin.

Skip caffeine for a few hours beforehand so it's easier to settle.

Eat something light about an hour before. Arriving very hungry or very full is distracting.

You'll shower before entering the tank, so don't worry about arriving "clean."

After your session

Rinse off and take your time getting up. Don't rush straight into traffic.

Drink water and give yourself a slow, quiet hour afterward if you can.
