Frequently Asked Questions / FAQs
Do I need a prescription in Texas?
Yes. Texas requires a valid prescription (Rx) for colon hydrotherapy. Clients may bring an existing Rx or complete a Good Faith Exam (GFE) via telehealth to determine eligibility. Clearance is not guaranteed.
What is a Good Faith Exam (GFE)?
A GFE is a medical screening conducted by a licensed provider to determine whether colon hydrotherapy is appropriate. It is required if you do not already have a prescription.
Is an open-system colonic uncomfortable?
Most clients describe the experience as gentle and well-tolerated. Sessions are professionally guided, and the open-system design allows clients to remain in control throughout the process.
How long is a session?
Standard sessions are 45 minutes.
Extended 90-minute sessions are available when additional time is recommended.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Light meals, adequate hydration, and following any pre-session instructions provided after booking are recommended.
Can I combine colon hydrotherapy with other services?
Yes. Many clients combine colon hydrotherapy with services such as lymphatic drainage, Hocatt ozone sauna, or mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
Who should not receive colon hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy may not be appropriate for individuals with certain medical conditions, recent surgeries, or gastrointestinal issues. Eligibility is determined during intake and/or the Good Faith Exam.
Will I need multiple sessions?
Frequency varies based on individual goals and needs. This can be discussed during intake or after your session.
