• Review your surgical and medical history
• Evaluate your healing progress
• Review medications
• Review your surgeon’s postoperative instructions
• Assess swelling, incisions, and tissue healing
• Evaluate surgical drains
• Perform surgical drain removal when clinically appropriate
• Develop a personalized recovery plan
• Coordinate with your surgeon when appropriate

Drain removal is performed only following physician evaluation and when medically appropriate based on your individual recovery.
