WHAT IS EBOO?
EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) is a medical wellness procedure that uses a closed-loop system to circulate blood outside the body through a specialized filtration and oxygenation process before returning it.
Sessions are conducted in a monitored clinical setting under physician oversight and require medical clearance prior to treatment.
Oxygen, Ozone, and Wellness
Oxygen plays an essential role in cellular energy production and overall body function. In wellness environments, ozone has been explored for its oxidizing properties and is sometimes incorporated into advanced wellness therapies under controlled conditions.
At Detoxity MediSpa, ozone use is handled with strict safety protocols and professional oversight to support a controlled and comfortable environment.

EBOO Faqs
How does EBOO therapy work?
EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) therapy circulates a portion of blood outside the body through a closed system where it is filtered, oxygenated, and then safely returned under medical supervision.
Is EBOO therapy safe?
EBOO therapy is performed under medical oversight using established protocols. Eligibility is determined through consultation, screening, and required lab work to support a safe and appropriate experience.
How is hygiene and sterilization handled during EBOO therapy?
All tubing used during EBOO therapy is single-use and disposable. After each session, tubing is discarded as biohazardous medical waste. The EBOO machine itself does not come into direct contact with bodily fluids and functions as a pump and delivery system for oxygen and ozone within a closed circuit.
What lab work is required before EBOO therapy?
The required lab tests include:
CBC (Complete Blood Count)
G6PD (Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase)
Recent lab results may be used if they are within the last three months, or we can order labs through Quest Diagnostics. Results typically return within three business days.
Do I need a medical consultation before EBOO therapy?
Yes. A medical consultation is required to review health history, lab work, and determine eligibility before scheduling an EBOO session.
I have difficult or hard-to-access veins. Am I still a candidate for EBOO therapy?
Yes. Individuals with difficult veins may still be candidates. Vein access and suitability are evaluated by medical staff during consultation prior to treatment.
How long does an EBOO session take?
Once vein access is established, the active filtration portion of EBOO therapy lasts approximately one hour. Additional time is required for preparation, monitoring, and post-session observation.
How many EBOO sessions are typically recommended?
For individuals new to EBOO therapy, an initial series of three sessions is typically recommended. This allows the body to gradually adapt and helps establish a baseline experience before considering maintenance sessions.
What is the difference between EBOO and EBOO Safe?
EBOO Safe utilizes a larger, more sensitive filtration system designed for enhanced blood filtration. Package options and recommendations are discussed during consultation based on individual wellness goals.
I'm undergoing Cancer Treatment. Am I a candidate for EBOO?
We have many clients who are undergoing cancer treatment that also use EBOO. We have some who are treating it the holistic way, as well. We require medical clearance and coordination with your treating physician to determine what is right for you.
Do you provide EBOO in Houston?
Detoxity Holistic MediSpa is located in The Woodlands, TX. We routinely service individuals in The Woodlands, and Houston and surrounding areas. We even have some who come from out of state regularly.
